It’s official – Coverity 6.6 is here! We are proud to announce the latest release of the Coverity Development Testing Platform, including exciting new features in Coverity Test Advisor and Coverity Policy Manager. We are also delivering enhancements to Coverity Quality Advisor, Coverity Security Advisor and across the entire platform. One of the key focus areas for this release is to introduce new features and enhancements that will help you improve your time to market.
- Coverity Test Advisor has always helped focus your testing on the most critical code, but now it can even help prioritize the order those tests should run. Based on code criticality and risk, change impact and project priorities, it can generate a prioritized list so that the most critical tests can be run first, and any issues can be addressed more quickly.
- In this release of Coverity Policy Manager, we focused specifically on new features and enhancements to help you increase adoption of development testing and improve your time to market. Now you can fully customize your views with heat maps and other charts for early warnings, so issues can be eliminated sooner in the SDLC. Choose the metrics and thresholds that align to your objectives and modify those views and metrics throughout the course of your project.
- We also made enhancements to Coverity Quality Advisor, Coverity Security Advisor and across the entire Coverity Development Testing Platform. We added built-in email notification, which provides additional early warning capabilities, along with many other performance and usability features, improved Windows build performance, expanded support for new platforms and SDLC integrations, and many other usability and performance enhancements to help developers save time.
